I had such a good time judging at the Northeast Georgia Middle School and Elementary School events! In a time of angst for scientists and science-loving folks, being around ambitious kids who are curious and excited about science was a great boost!

Rachel named to Lois K. Miller Professorship
Rachel was recently named the inaugural Lois K. Miller Professor in Cellular Biology. This named professorship honors Dr. Lois K. Miller, a former faculty member at UGA who was a NAS member. Her biography can be found here. What a remarkable scientist - we are so thrilled to honor her memory and legacy with our work over the coming years.
